about SHANNON LILLEY
Shannon Lilley is originally from Portola Valley, Ca, and spent her whole Eventing life training and competing on the west coast with a successful training program, first under Dayna Lynd-Pugh with Flying Tail Farms, then, on her own, developing Team Lilley Eventing in Santa Cruz, California.
Shannon, an ECP level 4, has worn many hats in the sport, not just a rider, competitor and coach, but has managed the Area VI Young Rider program for 6 years, served and continues to serve on several USEF committees, as well as presently the ERA of NA president.
Over the years, Shannon has produced many horses through the 4* level and was lucky enough to be a part of the 2011 Pan American Games gold medal winning team in Guadalajara, Mexico.
An experience that helped drive her philosophy and culture in her life and business - nothing is stronger than a true team.
Shortly after the games, Shannon suffered a significant injury that forced her to pause her Eventing career. She healed from the injury and rebuilt her own business in California focusing on biomechanics in and out of the saddle, and fitness and nutrition for riders. The philosophy of a wholistic program for the horses and students are what define Shannon’s, Team Lilley Eventing.
Shannon recently moved to the east coast to better her riding (and coaching) by working with the best in the sport and accomplish her goals as a rider. Through that move she has taken on more clinics all over the middle and eastern parts of the country. Shannon truly enjoys teaching and the camaraderie that comes along with have those who want to be part of a team yet again.
